Got the same Issue. Console command is "event anomaly.168". But it did not had any effect to my game. Population still has the old Ethics. #2. Showing 1 - 2 of 2 comments. Per page: 15 30 50. Since you have Pacifist but want to change to Militarist, this edict is working against you by making Pacifist faction more attractive than Militarists.ideology war is the only way i know off. though i think if you do that to your subject they wont be your subject anymore afterwards. i don't think the game ever had such a feature. you can influence the ethics of a primitive civ through one of the observation post missions, but once they are a space empire you have no way of forcing their ethics.

Really, the thing about ethics attraction is that it doesn't actually change the rate of change for the pops. It only affects the likelihood of them picking that ethic over another when/if they change. What people need more often is Ethic Shift Chance, which means your pops are more likely to change ethics, and when combined with ethics attraction, can lead to pops taking the desired ethics.Embracing militarist creates a militarist ethics attraction, and GEA will only add to that if you're already militarist. So if you're Pacifist then your GEA will create pacifist ethics attraction (and whatever other governing ethics you have) as opposed to the militaristic faction you've embraced.
