( follow the fuel lines ) I believe it has a drain, when this crappy fuel with ethanol sits and goes bad it accumulates in this reservoir. Drain the bad fuel, and pump the primer to re fill. 6,027. The ECU directly & soley controls the IAC, the signal that it sends the IAC is dependant on input from 6 other sensors (CPS, TPS, ECT, MAT, MAP and oil pressure).

I would change the oil as well since it has over heated. On the water hose it runs fine idle on through close to 6K rpm, put it gear on the hose runs fine idle to almost 6K. At the lake idles fine, in 5mph zone its fine, after 3K rpm it bogs and wants to stall. If I take it out of gear and use the high idle lever it will rev and idle just fine. ….

Changed the internal inline filter..it definitely had some gunk in it.Remember, much of the problem with water in the lower unit happens when a warm lower unit hits cold water. This causes a pretty big vacuum on the inside of the lower unit, trying to suck water into the lower unit to equalize the vacuum. You have seals on both ends of the lower unit. i.e. prop shaft, crank shaft, and water pump.
