I’m thinking about cutting down some old 30” sticks I have. I have seen the mods on you tube where they are cut down to 22” like G2 outdoors YouTube mod. What would be wrong with just cutting the stick just below the middle step, and just moving the bottom stand off up? My personal preference is the Helium's. I prefer to have the steps on both sides.The ropes are lighter and overall quieter. I do have the buckles on the straps covered with kayak grips but even just pulling the strap tight can cause a bit of noise on quiet days. The ropes also "slide" up and down on the tree easier once the stick is set so you can make a small adjustment here and there if necessary.
