Use something like a car cleaning type wax, a final buffing compound like 3M Finesse-It II, or even a polish type tooth paste.This part came in Briggs & Stratton packaging with the carburetor, all gaskets, spring and filter. It was a perfect fit and very easy to change -- all you will need is a flat head screwdriver, phillips head screwdriver, and 2 sockets.
